5. Jumada Al-Awwal

Jamādā al-ʾAwwal (Arabicجُمَادَىٰ الْأَوَّل‎), also known as Jumada al-Ulaa is th efifth month of islamic calendar. The first month of summer. “Jumada” means dry.

Events:
1. The Battle “Moota” took place in 8 A.H.  A war against infidels in which the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)did not participate.  Th battle is named after a famous city in Syria (Moota).  Hadrat Zaid Ibn Haritha (May Allah be pleased with him) was the first appointed General by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
2. In the same Battle Hadrat Khalid ibn Walid (fourth general of the Battle of Moota) was proclaimed by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as being “one of the swords of Allah”.
3. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)married his first beloved wife; Hadrat Khadijah (May Allah be pleased with him) 15 years prior to Prophecy
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) grandfather Abdul Muttalib passed away 32 years prior to prophency.

Islamic events

  •  Zainab bint Ali was born.
  •  Fatima bint Muhammad (Fatima al-Zahra) beloved daughter of Prophet Muhammad died in Medina at the young age of 18 years according to Shia Muslim sources.
  •  Ali ibn Husayn (Zayn al-Abideen) was born.
  •  Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II conquered Constantinople
